Todd discovered his interest in the law while working for Yahoo! in the late 90's. He worked for a number of years as a paralegal in the Yahoo! international legal group where he spent half his days handling international compliance issues, and the other half handling international litigation matters. To quench his intellectual interest in law, he left Yahoo! to attend law school at the University of Denver. Shortly after law school he started his own law practice, The Law Office of Todd A. Wells, LLC, earned an MBA degree, and spent a year in Hong Kong to get a niche degree in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
Todd spent two years as an oralist on the University of Denver Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team. Todd has also coached Vis Moot teams for the University of Colorado Denver Business School and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He currently teaches an intensive experiential-style course in international commercial arbitration as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver. In addition to American business and law students, Todd has trained and coached law students in Hong Kong and Japan.
Todd's law practice goes beyond dispute resolution. He has focused his practice on traditional commercial, corporate, and employment law transactions. His experience includes work with international service agreements, intellectual property registration and transactions, business structures, and other classic business needs between businesses large and small. Todd represents a number of software development and mobile services companies in Denver, Broomfield, and Boulder. |
